Urumqi, day 2, Karez well

We also visited the Well of Karez, an ancient irrigation system that is on the magnitude of the Great Wall in its sheer human effort. It basically is an underground water wells and canal system that brings water from the mountains down to this desert place. This allowed them to grow amazing grapes, not for wine but for raisins. You have never

tasted a raisin like these. Speaking of taste we tried snails today, AND something April called BBQ stinky fish(yes it did) it was fermented!
