Tour day eleven

We started driving around the wall of Jerusalem, noting all the gates. We stopped at this one, which faces the road to Jericho so likely the one used on Palm Sunday. I think it's the Garden gate

It leads down to the Kidron valley and overt to an olive garden, Gethsemene.

This one is at least a thousand years old, maybe more. Here is also a church commemorating the stone of agony where Jesus prayed.

The inside windows glow with alabaster. There is exposed bedrock inside and also this portion outside, both of which could have been the rich where Jesus prayed.
