Next we visited Bet Shean which was the ruins of a Roman city. It was also the place where Saul and Jonathan's bodies were taken by the Philistines. And it is one of the cities of the decapolis that Jesus visited.
It had a huge theatre
And a Roman road running through the city
Next to that these tiny mosaic design sidewalks
In the seventh century I think there was an earthquake that toppled many of the massive columns
The tel or hill of archaeology behind it had layers dating to Egyptian occupation during the time of Moses and the Pharoah in power then.
And this, the part of town where they had public toilets
