This is the beautiful old church in Holwerd where the Kuipers lived, tracing back to the 1700s.
And also the church in many Blija where there are more Graves from our ancestors document. Also a windmill named Hope

Near there is a small port where you can ferry out to the islands of the Wadden Zee. It is here that the land slowly gives way to ocean in an expansive mud flat. At extreme low tides you can walk or to the islands.
It was so nice we had lunch in this sweet little town. Dave is pretty intrigued with their espaliered street trees.
