One of our stops is an abandoned administration building from a past war

This last shot shows us on the highest lookout we can reach, it's a war bunker, there are currently UN troops from Canada in blue hats stationed up here today. There are also orthodox Jews on the left, German visitors on the right. And Mt Hermon in the hazy distance for your Bible reference. On one side is lush green Israel and on the other we can see the long fence going up the mountain. Our local guide says at night they can see gunfire and bombing.
So a grim day and yet we realize that it's every day life that goes on here. There is light hearted fun and jokes from our guides and we are dumbfounded by the reality of life in this place.
