Favorite Places

One of my favorite summers was spent at our national memorial, fondly called simply "the faces". It was just understood among the gift shop and snack bar workers that there was peak season for all national parks. Our was the 2nd Tuesday of July when we would have record crowds. It must have something to do with the traffic moving back and forth across the country and stopping in for a look at George, Abe and the rest.

But for this iconic American view, I would say that today is the biggest crowd I have ever seen on the webcam. It looks like a fine day to visit the Faithful geyser. Don't you wish you could go there this summer?
