There's not much in the plant world that is really waking up yet, even though I have been looking hopefully around the neighborhood for trivial little pretties. Which is why, by the way, I end up taking shots of weed seeds and such.
Except for this trusty little plant right outside my kitchen window that I nearly forgot about. It's actually a little behind schedule for blessing us with lovely winter fragrance because we happened to plant it on a northeast side of a 2-story house. So it doesn't really get a fair shake when it comes to sunlight.
Nevertheless, it's getting ready to pop open soon and then it will be very sweet indeed to sit close by with a nice hot cup of java. Which will only be less than half of the mornings since it still rains so much. But still .. it is something and it is a hint of spring.
