Phinda safari Day 1

We were dropped into the middle of a game reserve by this small plane and shortly set out on our first game drive. Our driver and game scout who sits out in front keep a close watch and quickly spot nyala, warthogs, zebra, impala, etc, all of whom provide food for the bigger predators. (We are safe as long as we stay seated, and nobody is cheating on that rule!). We find a lioness who was pretty docile with a full belly and high heat, altho she sent a Male nyala running off just by her scent.
Then after an early start today we found giraffes,  water buffalo, crocs and the special treat of observing a young Male cheetah- he chased off some more nyala but not at full speed. Great start to the safari. And it is 102 today!
