Cape Town day 2

Our Thursday was long and packed with 3 stops. The first, a large 9 generational farm estate where the current siblings run the farm, winery, farm store, restaurant and boutique. We got to listen to the father tell stories of his time in parliament, his memories of SA in Ww2, and his concern for the future. Then the next very large winery and garden estate, with the dutch architecture and thatch roofs, scupted English gardens, and tea and a little something with Rose, the very proper, hospitable owner.
Lastly we visited with a famous sculptor who has not only sculpted with brass poured designs(we got to watch a pour), but has also sculpted the grounds to complement(or conflict- he is not quite sure) the mountains behind and his well placed works of art.
