Why is it canning when you use jars?

I'm pretty sure my oldest's love language is spending time together. When I got up in the morning I told hubby I didn't feel like canning anything this year. But when she asked me to come help her with canning yesterday I suddenly felt like canning. We did pears and tomato sauce and christened her first canning experience right off the bat with a broken jar in the kettle. Sadly, we lost some important canning gear in the move so we had to make do without the jar grabber thing.


Sorry, no photos, I'm slacking on that lately. But only because I've been overloading on photography with my pretty long-haired subjects. So stay tuned I will get back to photo blogging soon - or maybe she will post some of her own.
