Time to Celebrate

To begin our 4th holiday we chose to hike - hopefully somewhere beyond the crowded lakes and campgrounds. After our first attempt was squelched due to snow-covered trails we found a spot that hubby and I visited over 30 years ago.

The trail starts out pretty easy.

As in gently sloping.

But that quickly changes.

When all you can see of the next person in line is the top of their head

Or their shoe laces.

You just know you're gonna feel this tomorrow.

Even lunch was served on an angle.

After several attempts we finally locate Boca cave, pretty much the same as it was over 30 years ago.

I remember old friends that used to camp in here and drink the water that drips out of the rock at the back of the cave.

It has a gorgeous view of the mountain.

We need to come back again and bring our tent.

Sometime before another 30 years goes by.
