This is how I ended my holiday weekend - with the AI tour - which began their 50 city run in our city!

While it was great getting to see some of the idols - and their cute brothers who assisted them

and we all had our favorites

this one drew the loudest noise that still has my ears hurting

and this one sang about how much he loved his wife and couldn't wait to sing about her all across the nation, gotta love him.

They all gave it their best and we loved it. However everything seemed a little bit more expensive for what you got. Starting with my parking fee, which seemed at first like a good deal, I ended up with a huge ticket, "not my fault, officer". Even this meet and greet lasted only minutes compared to last year's 1 1/2 hours with the biggest names. I suppose they had to practice since it was their first show.
But when I got to my seat (away from my teens, so they could sit together) I felt really ripped off. I've never been quite so close to the jumbo tron or at quite such a sharp angle, nearly parallel to it. I'm practically behind the stage.

But I did get a good view of the dueling pianists - they were my absolute favorite, two grand pianos coming up out of the floor - it was very fun.
Then this very sweet winner did his thing in his usual, very-understated way. It was also worth the over-priced ticket.

And as it turns out there ended up being an empty seat by my teens so I finally got to actually see the screen without huge distortion for the second half.

I spent my last 5 bucks on a nasty drink - which wrapped up the whole over-priced evening quite nicely. I might have to go again next year!
