I'll Share Him

Yesterday one of the local garden clubs came to tour. These ladies have just had cookies and coffee and are now being introduced to my husband, the plant man. I just love to watch this. I know exactly what's going to happen.

First he takes them to his trial plant beds. That's right - one of these items right before your eyes could be the next exciting new introduction in the garden journals. It's beginning to happen.

This one isn't blooming yet but when it does it will be profuse (just love that word). Hmmm, this guy seems to know what he's talking about - but he's very unassuming.

Right about now they're thinking, "I really like him, it was probably worth the hour drive to get here".

He starts answering their gardening questions and they begin to understand that this a voice of plant authority. He can't help it, he's just winning them over without trying.

Next they visit the very beginning of the plant factory and are pretty much speechless.

She's wondering if anyone would notice if she just sampled one of those new varieties which just arrived.

When it's time to go they almost kidnap him and take him home on the bus. Once again he gains a whole new busload of secret admirers. I knew this would happen - it always does.
Dave and the garden club - a match made in heaven. :)

That's so funny. Out at Blue Moon there have been quite a few visitors in the past week or so who have come in to check out the research we are doing there. Today there was a human from NC State it was cool. My boss introduced two other girls and I to her and we got to ask her a bunch of questions regarding college and grad. school and just everything. It was so cool. But all the other people have just been there for info. on the grass stuff, so they were boring.:)
