Our view this morning, from the 8th floor of our airbnb. its hot and humid in Beijing. We get stared at alot, only saw about a dozen people like ourselves yesterday in the many crowded places we visited. One person even asked April if she was Chinese!
Yesterday we tried for the Forbidden city, but the limit was 80,000 per day and it was sold out until Sunday.
But April took us to the winter palace, which is expansive, were probably walked 7 miles total, including several times in the subway, she is teaching us to be pushy, ha!
At one point Devon wanted to buy sim card, it took some fanagling so finally I look up and Devon is being whisked away in a motorcycleby one of the store clerks. Only 10 minutes they say over at their other office! We did get our daughter back in about 30 and they got ger phone thing figured out !!
We had some amazing food, deep fried bean paste, lamb kabobs, mousse cake, and the Korean Bbq. April takes good care of us!
