Hancheng

Our last day was spent seeing the sights of Hancheng, hometown of Aprils mother. First stop was Dang village, the oldest, largest and best preserved village from late 1300s in this province. It really gave the country living contrast to the emperor digs in the capital. We also visited the tomb and memorial to a great historian who was emasculated for not being willing to rewrite his 400 years of history scrolls according to the ruling emperors version. Lastly we had a delightful stroll through the old city where at least 3 vendors recognized Aprils mom and wanted to feed us. Stay tuned for food post. And we really turned heads today, pretty hard to miss our light coloring and blue eyes.
