We traveled until dark last night and headed southwest into the desert
So when we woke this morning it was so surprising to see this view, even though we had heard a little about this place.
It's in the Negev desert and has a beautiful design that blends in with the rocky surroundings
Our first thing was to learn about this crater, not technically a crater at all, but a makhtesh which doesn't really translate to English because they only exist here.
We also see a museum about Israel's lost astronaut in the Columbia tragedy. He has the same name as this crater.
Then we load up for some off roading, I sat in the back and only hit my head once
We get some geology talk
And head for the highest point
Pretty fun outing
