Ahhh, September

I just love this month, even if it threatens with gloom and rain on days like today. Because I know that it will still bestow many sun-drenched days upon us.

I love that it puts us on schedules and makes us crazy busy with carpools (whoever thought I would be back to that?) and games and family night at church.

And a few other things I love about September - it's the best time of the year to visit here:

Not that we have gone yet but we have "coast trip" pencilled in on the calendar. I'm holding out for a sunset and a room on the beach. Can you believe we still haven't spent one thin dime on our anniversary? We're so lame about that.

And can I just say how much I have enjoyed this Sweet town's beautiful main street of annuals and perennials? They have done a fabulous job there all summer as we've whizzed through town on our way to the lakes and mountains.

And now that it is September the plants seem to know it's their last opportunity to show off.

Soak up September today!
