Just 2 days before this posted I happened to have a conversation with my girl youngun about what to do when she ran out of brown sugar for her recipe. It was, of course, a teachable moment of mother to daughter wisdom, which I got from my mother, who I'm sure got it from her mother since there was no internet back then. There still isn't any for my mother come to think of it.
Truthfully, I wasn't so sure of myself with the first few mixing strokes, especially since she was a bit skeptical of my home remedy solution. But sure enough, the more you mix the better it gets - you should try it!
I'm cracking up over the comments: "genius, life-changing, amazing..."
Who knew us old ladies were sitting on such great tidbits of kitchen cupboard wisdom that is just now getting re-circulated?
