Yep, you were mosquito bait to be hiking up there - I saw and heard the counts of bites these guys endured - even with the netting! Notice also the long sleeves, socks and gloves.
But they managed to enjoy it anyway, even if they could not last a week. You only have so much blood you know.
Tents were a sanctuary if you could get in without them following you.
