Yukky or Yummy?

One of my favorite days every year is when my good friend brings her pre-schoolers for a visit.

We talk about plants and sunshine and soil and sprinklers.

Pretty boring stuff on average for little guys, but we try to make it interesting.

But there's one thing that always catches their interest - and that is when I eat some dirt out of a flower pot. And then after much arm twisting, I convince their teacher to do the same. For some it's just more than they can handle and they just can't bring themselves to eat it.

And for others it is pure delight. Four and five year-olds will believe the moon is made of cheese if you tell them so. They never fail to make my day.

Yes and you should hear thier comments when they get off the bus and tell thier parents that they've been eating dirt and worms. lol It's always one of my highlights of the year as well. Thank you so much for doing it.

Thank you so much for having us. It was a great time. The dirt cups were the highlight for sure. Seeing the kids eyes when Teacher Pam took a big bite of the "dirt and worms" was great. The huge eyes and wide open mouths were priceless!!

I hope your and your nursery have a prosperous season.
