We did not get chickies. Duh. They are stinky and alot of work according to the childhood tape that runs in my brain.
But, oh, are they cute when they're tiny. They way they cluster in the corner with their back ends towards you. The way they sprawl out as if dead when they're sleeping. The way they peck their food and then tip their head up to swallow.
Cute, cute and cute. But no.

Actually, chickens are hardly any work at all. Yeah, they kind of stink, but not as much as sheep or pigs or most animals, actually. We have a chicken run, and it goes around our garden, it's really quite simple. We have an automatic feeder, so basically water is the hardest part-- that and eggs. But the feeding and watering is a lot harder when they are chicks, due to the fact that they are in a small area stomping on and knocking everything over. But Its not too bad! Plus at that point, they're still cute chicks, so it's worth it!!. When they are a bit older they are much easier to have around. You should get some!!
