Middle Cousin

The slides on disk have arrived.

There are a lot of them, as in a ton. Many of which are meaningless. But still it is worth it to find those that bring back a flood of memories.

Like my big brother playing chess with my older cousin. It was intense and they usually told us little kids to shush and leave them alone. Mostly I remember is that I wasn't old enough to play with them.

But I also remember that I was too old to stoop down to playing with these little boys, my little bros. They were cute and I loved taking care of the baby - he was my real live doll- but still I was too big for them.

So my playmates were my younger girl cousins. And I remember getting this doll on my 4th birthday. I remember my uncle walking up to our house with it under his arm, she was too big for wrapping paper and she was delightful.

I kept her until I grew up and had babies - they played with her and she got dunked in the swimming pool. Then she got moldy inside and started smelling bad. Not sure what happened to her after that!
