Family Time

We just got back from celebrating my parent's 60th anniversary, which is why I haven't been online much. Parents in this age group usually don't have high speed wi-fi service. They don't have slow service. Even our phones don't work too well when we are there.

Here are my parents, my brothers and their wives.

Did you know that all of the inlaw names in our family start with "D"? And two of my sisters-in-law have the exact same married name?

This cute little mama is expecting the 48th member of our extended family. He will be named Brandon Michael and will arrive in June. Another boy to carry the family name.

One of the best parts of our family party is reuniting with my childhood playmates, my cousins. This is Ron and I love him to pieces, even though I didn't always show it when we were little.

In fact, his big sister, the lovely pony-tailed lady here, and I used to exclude Ron and my little brother from our troll-doll wedding extravaganzas. Life is cruel during playtime.

Sometimes my big brother, here standing with my other cousin on her phone, used to ditch me during playtime which degraded my status to playing with the little kids. There is nothing worse than getting bumped down the social playtime ladder.

But since it was so great seeing them after all this time, I have forgiven them. And my scars have healed.
After all, now we are all entering the same play group - senior citizens!
