H is for Huckleberry

Because it's Friday and because my daughter-in-law loves berry pie(we're visiting them today - yay!) I decided to make one this morning to take along. And I'm sharing it with you b/c I'm such a great cook!
You all know better than that - so don't make me starting laughing and choke on my mocha. Still, this a great little idea that I picked up somewhere in the middle of raising 5 kids and baking a million pies. I still have all the alphabet cookie cutters that my younguns used to use with their play-doh. Not sure why I saved all of them, even through the move, but you never know when you need the "h" for example. Like today, because it makes a beautiful pie.
You just punch them out of the play-doh, I mean pie crust, and then if they fall out just lay them back on top. Messier is better in this case - that always works well for me.

Then with the leftover crust you can pull out your deeee-licous lavendar marion-berry jam and make a tart.

Just like mama taught you how - again my basic cooking rule applies - messier is better.
