Sweet!

One of the things we did on our little outing was to pick mountain huckleberries - you can see what they look like in my header. But they are scarce compared to these babies right here at home. And huckleberries are very tiny so it takes alot to make a pie. My half bucketful had to be put in the freezer because youngest has been busy picking loads of these while we were gone:

They are plentiful and as you can see by the blossoms, unripe and ripe berries, they will be producing for weeks into the future.


While this is by no means a cooking blog (ho, ho, heee, heee, ha ha, ROFL) we did get photos from the kitchen of what we made with them.

And this great recipe of a shiny top cobbler - yum! The photos are really for my daughter's very cute recipe book that she is making. So don't be expecting any recipes or further cooking posts. Not going there, OK?!!
