So this little lovely was hiding in a far corner of my yard where all the ugly plants go and sometimes die. But I discovered it a few weeks ago just full of big, promising buds. So I gave it a new pot and a privileged spot on my patio and to thank me it did this.
When I looked up it's botanical name I found out that it is called the Lenten Rose. And whaddaya know, Lent had indeed just begun. I hadn't really thought about giving up anything for lent, until we heard a very pointed sermon about the gods of entertainment that we all bow down to. So I decided to combine that with a friend's challenge to make each day 15 minutes better. So for the record and what's left of Lent, I am planning daily to replace 15 minutes of my entertainment time with something better and more lasting. All that inspired by this sweet plant!

What a beautiful picture. It reminds me of a certain blog that sat in a corner of my computer with other blogs that were dead or almost dead. Then one day I saw buds on it and so I kind of dusted it off and started checking back with it. One day this beautiful flower emerged on my moniter. I've missed you and your stories and insight. Welcome back.
Thank you, so where is your blog? I googled you and nothing came up, except your twin in Cincinnati??
I thought about blogging but I decided to leave all of the hard work up to my sister in Cincinnati......and you of course. :-)
