Xi'an and the Terra Cotta Warriors

In the 1970’s a farmer dug up the first piece of this 2000+ army of an emperor that died 2000 years ago. They are continuing to restore these warriors at the rate of 12 per year.  Each one is a unique face, even to old and new features. Above is how they were found, below is restoration work. The kneeling archer is the only one found completely intact.

As we left this group of school kids came up to us to practice their English, they expected to find some native English speakers at a place like this, they were so cute, we gave them all time to say something even though we were running late.

Evening stroll around Xi'an, it's a really nice city.
