One drawer at a time

Grand total of moved items for today: 5 bottles of nailpolish out of 39 total. These things take time and consideration. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.

Finally

Yes, in fact, I did survive the move. Technically I just avoided it altogether, but I'm still doing my part. Little by little, I'm emptying the nursery house and only moving the keeper stuff to our farm house. It's gonna be awhile - BUT, I have a deadline date.

Sadly, I have to post some of these photos as not quite the final look. Still missing that crown molding, that new light fixture and window coverings. Window coverings, I can't even begin to think about that yet.

So here's where we now gather for our daily bread. It's good and we are enjoying it, thanks to the help of many.

I can't think about it today

We're counting down to just a few days till the big move. The stress and emotions are mounting and I'm torn between "dig and and do it" or "hide my head in the sand and pretend it isn't happening". Most of the time it's the latter. So today I will think about this - what a great family time we had:

Bye bye Frostline

It has officially begun - we're packing! Well, it's still mostly procrastinating but we are actually talking about how many washcloths we will move and how many we will demote to lesser duties.

And the hardest thing of all has begun - parting. Like I parted with this very cool treasure modeled here by my youngest.

It's a classic. No really it is, you can read about it here:

See, I told you so. It's right now just sitting down there at the thrift store waiting to be discovered. But wait, there's more - there are actually two of them! Matching Frostline vests, cooler than cool, especially in the 70's.
If you see these around town somewhere, please take a photo and send it to me.

Eat, sleep, sand, varnish. And when I am done I will sit on this and relax!!
