Man Cubs

It takes a bit of patience to photograph 17 year olds.
There is still alot of boy in the man.

The boy needs a little time to explore.

Before the man will pose.

10000 Millimeters Under the Sea

Since this past Sunday was very hot and since I owed some kids an outing for the BIG FAVOR they did me earlier this summer, we went to the lake for several hours. But the big surprise when we got there was that the powers-that-be had lowered the reservoir severely.

The long walk we had to take to the water's edge actually took us down to the near bottom of the lake. Imagine just days earlier this stark landscape was muddy lake-bottom, the zooming speedboats and skiers many feet overhead.

I kind of like the way it looks though - with these light-hearted mermaids enjoying:
"Under the sea, Under the sea, Darling it's better, Down where it's wetter- Take it from me"

Smile

I am so blessed to be married to this fine man all these years, and he took me to this great beach for the weekend! As you can see it's very remote, rural and quiet.

We just hung out at low tide.. snuggling close just like these cute starfish.

Watched the sunset and
enjoyed the beauty all around us.

Red Alert!

Oh no, someone has sabotaged the OF geyser webcam. They would have to have been pretty small to shinny up that pole and turn the camera. Or maybe it was a wild animal or a freak windstorm. Hopefully this will not disrupt your day too much - stay tuned. There are usually important people assigned to these things so they should get right on it!

On closer observation it just routine maintenance... I kind of liked thinking it was Yogi or Boo-boo up to their mischief.

I need a new notebook!

I got the uncontrollable urge to buy myself school supplies this morning at the store. It's one of my favorite days - Back 2 School.

They don't look like it but they protested loudly over this photo, I used my usual threatening & repeating techniques which have served me so well all these years.

Awwww.... senior and sophomore - so sweet! And stripey, we planned that.
